My Second Attempt

After my first unsuccessful attempt on the dress that I did, I decided to redo it again.  I decided to take step to step pics on this.   If you decide to purchase the Doll Coordinate Recipe Vol. 11: Good Girl Style it has the patterns but the tutorial is in Japanese, however the tutorial is pretty easy to follow through since it doesn't have many patterns to cut out.  I cut out only 4 patterns and attached together with my sewing machine.

After cutting out the 4 patterns:
  1. I proceeded to iron the seam allowance on for the top and for the dress.
  2. I realized the side are a bit tricky and suggest that you should hand sow the sides.  I had a hard time sewing the sides using my sewing machine.
  3. After sewing the top I sew the top and the bottom of the skirt dress together by pinning sides together
  4. Then I flip the dress and align the edge of the dress and sew it together for the final result.

New Outfit

I decided to sew on something new and wanna try out other patterns.  I've been looking at some of the patterns from this book:

I tend to find something that is simple and easy to work with and here is one of my final sample result.  Not a perfect dress but I think I got the general idea and I will certainly redo another one but in a perfect form.
